Living The IKEA Catalogue Life

I have decided to move all paper art supplies back into my bedroom, leaving the sewing room for, well, sewing. The desk has just enough drawers for my watercolors, brushes, and pens - leaving the stamps, glue, colored pencils, and all the different types of paper homeless. Ah well, I'll figure it out.

I'm really appreciating the sleek minimalism of my room at the moment, but of course that evaporates the moment I start a project. Today's projects include Batman symbol origami (thanks, YouTube tutorial!) and painstakingly crafting a replacement puzzle piece for a whimsical cat-and-craft-supplies puzzle. Puzzle pieces are hard to make, guys. It takes a lot of scalpel work to cut through cardboard that thick (I used a soap box), and I'm gonna have to watercolor a scrap of paper for the top.

Further room-improvement projects include painstakingly cleaning the carpet (Nanook is a bad cat), sewing a laundry hamper, and finishing the quilt I started years ago. Not sure how much I will get to, but it's nice to be optimistic.

The Riddler comic I got on eBay arrived in the mail today. It is absolutely perfect.
