You would be shocked at how many teen protagonists of werewolf books are concerned about bloodlines and breeding. All that soulmate shit and species purity nonsense. At least some of them do come down on the side of scandalously deciding to date someone of a Forbidden Species who might not be able to make The Right Babies but man I'm so tired of the whole thing.
