The Power Of Friendship And Research Librarians

Many sad and stressful things happened at the same time again, but I'm back and still obsessed about Roman mysteries! Interlibrary loan isn't as sure a bet as I thought it was - it has hooked me six stories so far, but the - SEVEN omg I just got a notification as I was typing this! Amy the interlibrary loan librarian has been working so hard on my behalf! But unfortunately, a lot of the libraries that have this stuff are paid lenders, and I can't eat up hundreds of dollars of library budget.

So I've been crowdsourcing. Asked all my friends, put up a tumblr post and everything, and I have gotten a few bites! I hope to reel in some stories that way. I have spent the day contacting libraries to figure out who has what, and how open they are to sharing. Some of these librarians are hoarding books like dragon treasure! But I hope the power of friendship and the allure of the issues I have already cleaned up and shared will be enough to net me some more issues.

I am not likely to get in trouble for this act of crowdsourced copyright infringement, by the way. Mike Ashley got away with putting these stories in like four anthologies in a row without having any way to contact the copyright holders. Incidentally, I will be hitting up Mike Ashley for his collection too. If anyone has a complete collection, it's him.
