Hell Is Made Of Glitter
Jan. 12th, 2019 09:29 pmYes, I'm still alive, no I haven't been doing anything more interesting than smearing glitterglue on salt dough. That's the downfall of Dreamwidth - I can fake it during a slump with a good tumblr queue, but on Dreamwidth you're on your own as far as content goes.
Anyway, salt dough is a good way to make fake food and statement jewelry while the kiddo is busy mashing handfuls of it. Glitterglue is good for nothing, but the kiddo loves it and for her sake I bought more of the wretched stuff when we ran out. I loathe glitter the way I loathe sand - its infectious nature, its bothersome grittiness, the way you can't ever be free of it. Buying those tubes of glitterglue was a labor of love. Gotta use up the kiddo art supplies over the next two days, because we won't see her for another year. I'm gonna miss her, but soon as she leaves, I'm gonna vacuum and slosh fixative over every glitter-crusted art thing in the house.
I swear I'm more interesting than this.
