I have a watercolor drying under the table. Once it is dry, I need to give it a spritz of fixative, attach shiny little fish cut from silver paper, and put it in its frame. Thanks to the cheapness of Ikea, the frame has a thin slice of plastic instead of glass covering it, which is already dented, so I have artistically glued green-watercolored tissue paper seaweed strands to it. It's not a mistake, it's a design element!
In a last minute burst of inspiration, I am making a dowel-handled tote bag for my grandpa. I'm using my beloved dowel-handled tote bag for a pattern, and I have some bolts of nautical themed fabric that I am cutting with reckless abandon. I feel confident about this. The dowel handles are much easier on the hands than thin fabric straps.
If I have any time left over, my stretch goal is a Pete the Cat doll. I have furry blue fabric, but I'm not sure whether a four year old can be trusted with armature wire. I'm guessing no, but how else will I keep the thin neck from flopping? Maybe I will have some dowel left over.
